SME Development: The Government Mobilizes 16.3 Billion CFA to Strengthen the Credit Guarantee Company for Supporting Ivorian SMEs

The Council of Ministers, on March 12, 2025, adopted a decree regarding the ratification of a loan agreement amounting to a total of 16.3 billion CFA for financing the Credit Guarantee Company (SGPME) to support Ivorian SMEs.

The government spokesperson, Amadou Coulibaly, assured that this funding would help support the SGPME and provide it with sufficient financial power to offer more portfolio guarantees to financial institutions, thus facilitating and increasing credit access for SMEs.

This support also includes assistance to SGPME and financial institutions in implementing efficient IT systems and training on environmental and social matters.
