A Transformative Academic Program Strengthens Ivorian American University Cooperation

The University of Georgia, with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire, led a transformative academic program aimed at strengthening higher education leadership in Côte d’Ivoire. The initiative brought together 19 Ivorian university leaders from 13 higher education institutions across the country.

Hosted by the Jesuit University of Abidjan – CERAP, the program provided a dynamic platform for learning and exchange. It focused on key areas such as strategic planning, online learning development, problem-solving, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including hands-on activities involving robot building.

By sharing American expertise, the program highlights the strong interest of Ivorian academic leaders in U.S.-driven innovation while reinforcing institutional partnerships that promote academic excellence, mutual growth, and long-term collaboration between Ivorian and American universities.
