Abidjan, November 12, 2025 – The Council of Ministers adopted a communication regarding the formalization of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and Belize.
“The Council has granted its approval to the request from the Government of Belize for the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries,” said government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly at the conclusion of the Council of Ministers meeting on November 12, 2025, in Abidjan.
As a result, the diplomatic jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to the United States of Mexico will be extended to Belize, in order to broaden the national diplomatic network in Central America and the Caribbean.a
