Ivorian and U.S. military authorities inaugurated a new shooting range on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Ivorian Special Forces base in Jacqueville.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Côte d’Ivoire, Junaid Munir, along with several military officials from both countries. The newly inaugurated facility is a 300-meter shooting range funded by the United States government.
This equipment aims to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Ivorian Special Forces by improving training conditions. It is part of ongoing security cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States.
