Nigeria has been confirmed as the host of the fifth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2027), which will take place in Lagos from November 5 to 11, 2027. The announcement follows the signing of a hosting agreement between the Nigerian government and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat.
The event is expected to bring together businesses, investors and policymakers from across Africa and beyond. It will serve as a platform to promote trade opportunities, strengthen partnerships and facilitate investment across the continent.
According to the organizers, the fair aims to support the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area by encouraging greater intra-African trade and economic cooperation.
The hosting of the event in Lagos highlights Nigeria’s role in promoting regional trade and strengthening Africa’s economic integration.
