Bouna, June 28, 2025 (AIP) — Politician Jean Louis Billon was in Bouna, the administrative center of the Bounkani region, on Friday, June 27, 2025, to seek voter endorsement for his candidacy in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for October.

Jean Louis Billon held a meeting at the youth center, attended by numerous party members and supporters who came to listen to him.

He justified his démarche by expressing the desire to give a voice to the new generation—those who, according to him, aspire to real and lasting change in Côte d’Ivoire. “I am not seeking endorsement to become someone. I am already someone, but I want it so that young people can have a better future,” he declared to applause from the audience.

The candidate presented his vision for the country, focusing on renewing the political class, creating economic opportunities for youth, ensuring equitable access to basic services, and promoting responsible governance. He intends to represent those who aspire to a rejuvenated, united Côte d’Ivoire that looks toward the future.

In a speech marked by closeness and sincerity, Jean Louis Billon urged the voters of Bounkani to embrace the citizen sponsorship process, which is now required for every candidate seeking the highest office. He praised the warm welcome given to his delegation and expressed encouragement from the population’s engagement.
