The Discipline and Order Council of the PDCI-RDA has decided to postpone the hearing of Mr. Jean-Louis Billon, originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2025, due to security concerns and the need to preserve public order.
This decision was communicated through an official note dated January 14, 2025, signed by Dr. Marie-Ange Aka Adjo, the Secretary General of the Discipline Council.
The postponement follows the significant attention surrounding Mr. Billon’s summons, who is the Departmental Delegate of the PDCI-RDA in Dabakala, as well as threatening messages circulating on social media, raising fears of potential public disturbances.
The Discipline Council clarified that this decision is due to force majeure circumstances, which are completely beyond its control. A new date for the hearing will be communicated at a later time.
It is important to note that only the letter from the Discipline Council is legally binding concerning this summons. As such, any other communication, including those from the PDCI-RDA Executive Secretariat, cannot cancel the said summons.
Mr. Jean-Louis Billon is awaiting notification of the new date for his hearing by the Discipline Council.
