Ouattara receives AU envoy, hailed for economic performance and regional stability efforts
Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara received on Tuesday in Abidjan the Special Representative of the President of the Commission of the African Union in Côte d’Ivoire, Ladislas Nze Bekale, who paid a courtesy visit following his recent appointment.
According to the Ivorian presidency, the African Union envoy congratulated Mr. Ouattara on Côte d’Ivoire’s strong economic performance as well as his efforts to support stability in the West African sub-region.
Discussions also focused on the implementation of the Agenda 2063, the African Union’s strategic development framework, for which the Ivorian head of state serves as a champion, the same source added.
