Prime Minister Dr. Beugré Mambé Hands Over 95 New 4x4 Vehicles to Atchan and Attié Chiefs to Boost Mobility
Prime Minister Dr. Beugré Mambé has officially handed over 95 brand-new 4x4 vehicles to the Atchan and Attié chiefs of the Autonomous District of Abidjan to strengthen their mobility and improve access to the most remote villages in the region. This initiative is part of a broader project aimed at boosting infrastructure and supporting local populations in the outskirts of Abidjan.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister recalled the instructions given by President Alassane Ouattara when he was appointed Minister and Governor of the Autonomous District of Abidjan. "The first thing the President of the Republic asked me to do was to identify urgent issues that would enable our people in the most distant villages of Abidjan to feel connected to the capital," he explained. He further emphasized that one of the key projects was to improve connectivity by facilitating the deblocking of the Atchan and Attié villages, covering a distance of 102 km.
In addition to the vehicles, each recipient chief has also received benefits aimed at improving their well-being and efficiency in performing their duties. These include health insurance, a mobile phone, and a fuel allocation. These measures are intended to ease their daily lives and enhance their ability to serve their communities effectively.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize the Autonomous District of Abidjan, focusing on creating better living conditions and fostering greater connectivity between rural and urban areas. The goal is not only to improve the mobility of the traditional chiefs but also to stimulate economic and social activities in the villages surrounding Abidjan.
By focusing on the Atchan and Attié villages, the Ivorian authorities are demonstrating their commitment to reducing developmental disparities between urban and rural areas. The handover of these vehicles further reinforces efforts to integrate these communities into the broader socio-economic fabric of the region.
