In the 45th + 3 minute, Christopher Operi delivered a perfect pass to Oumar Diakité, who rounded the Chad goalkeeper but missed the opportunity to score. Jean-Philippe Krasso, lurking nearby, seized the chance and fired the ball into the nearly empty net, giving Côte d'Ivoire the lead just before halftime.
Diakité Ends the Suspense The Elephants carried their momentum into the second half, and it didn’t take long for them to double their lead. In the 55th minute, a well-taken free kick from Evan Guessand struck the post, but Oumar Diakité pounced on the rebound, scoring after a quick second effort to make it 2-0.
Chad made several attempts to get back into the game, but the Ivorian defense held firm, securing a clean sheet for the second match in a row. With this win, Côte d’Ivoire remains unbeaten, topping Group G with six points.
