Beugré Mambé Reappointed as Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire
The President of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, has reappointed Robert Beugré Mambé as Prime Minister, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, Masséré Touré Koné, announced in a presidential decree published Wednesday in Abidjan-Plateau.
This decision follows the collective resignation of the previous government, in accordance with the Constitution, after the December 27, 2025 legislative elections, which saw several ministers elected as members of parliament. President Ouattara chose to maintain Beugré Mambé at the head of the government to ensure continuity and stability in public policies.
In his first remarks after the reappointment, Robert Beugré Mambé expressed his gratitude to the President for the renewed confidence and reaffirmed his commitment to serve the Ivorian people and continue the ongoing government projects.
Robert Beugré Mambé has been Prime Minister since October 2023. Prior to his appointment, he served as Governor of the Autonomous District of Abidjan and as head of the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI). He is considered a close ally of President Ouattara and a central figure in the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP).
The Prime Minister is now tasked with forming a new government as soon as possible, to implement the policies defined by the Presidency and support the legislative priorities for 2026.
