Côte d’Ivoire: Beugré Mambé Represented President Ouattara at USA–Africa Business Summit in Luanda
Côte d’Ivoire’s Prime Minister and Minister of Sports and Living Environment, Robert Beugré Mambé, took part in the USA–Africa Business Summit held in Luanda, Angola, from June 23 to 25, 2025. He represented President Alassane Ouattara with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States.
Held under the theme “Pathways to Prosperity: A Common Vision for U.S.-Africa Partnership,” the summit was jointly organized by the Angolan government and the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) — a U.S.-based organization that has been fostering economic ties between the U.S. and Africa since 1993.
During his three-day stay, Prime Minister Beugré Mambé took part in several high-level panels and bilateral meetings. He presented the wide range of investment opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire, aiming to increase trade with the United States, which reached $1.6 billion in 2024, equivalent to over 913 billion CFA francs.
This participation also followed a major milestone reached in May 2025, when Côte d’Ivoire signed agreements for over $7 billion in U.S. investments in the mining and energy sectors — a significant step forward in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Trade and Industry.
The previous edition of this summit was held in May 2024 in Dallas, Texas. The 2025 edition in Luanda brought together more than 1,500 participants, including several heads of state and government, all working to deepen U.S.-Africa economic relations.
