The Bassmat Ihsan Association has carried out a remarkable act of solidarity by donating school kits to more than 200 children from low-income families. The donation ceremony took place on Friday, October 3, first at the Akokagbé Center in Koumassi (Abidjan), and later at EPP Dongbo 1, in the sub-prefecture of Ahouanou, Grand-Lahou.
The children received school bags, uniforms, and various supplies in an atmosphere filled with joy and gratitude. Mr. Konaté Issouf, head of the Akokagbé Center, and Nanan Henriette, chief of Dongbo 1 village, both praised this generous gesture. Mr. Atsé Yapo Ben, the school principal, also expressed his appreciation, emphasizing the importance of such support for students who still lack basic school materials.
Founded by a group of friends united by a spirit of mutual aid, Bassmat Ihsan continues to multiply acts of solidarity — particularly during the month of Ramadan and at the start of each school year. According to its president, Mrs. Koné Ollah, this first edition of school donations marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to helping more children study with dignity and hope.
