Abidjan, May 12, 2025 – Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé praised the solid and structured public-private partnership as the foundation of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic success. He made this statement on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, during the side event “Investing in Côte d’Ivoire”, organized on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum 2025, one of the largest strategic exchange platforms between the private and public sectors.
“Over the past decade, Côte d’Ivoire has built large parts of its economy in partnership with the private sector. From major infrastructure such as roads, industrial zones, telecommunications, to energy and logistics, many landmark projects have been brought to life thanks to this strong and structured public-private partnership,” said the Ivorian Head of Government.
Recalling the strong belief held for over a decade by President Alassane Ouattara, which is reflected in the government’s daily actions, Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized that the transformation of Côte d’Ivoire’s economy cannot happen without a strong, dynamic, and committed private sector.
The Prime Minister welcomed this demanding yet fair partnership, in which the State fully plays its role as a facilitator and guarantor of stability and predictability in the business environment, while companies innovate, invest, and create value.
According to the Ivorian Prime Minister, this model has proven effective and now serves as a key pillar of the country’s development strategy. “We are convinced that private investment is the most powerful lever for job creation, strengthening our competitiveness, accelerating industrial transformation, and fostering a new generation of national entrepreneurs,” affirmed Robert Beugré Mambé.
The Prime Minister announced the continuation of structural reforms aimed at improving the business climate, simplifying administrative procedures, digitizing public services, and enhancing transparency and economic governance.
It is worth recalling that through the Technical Committee for State–Private Sector Dialogue—which embodies sectoral mechanisms for regular consultation—and the direct involvement of the private sector in public policy development, private sector representatives actively participated in the 2025 government seminar on the development of the 2026–2030 National Development Plan. Together, they helped identify priorities, key reforms to accelerate, and high-potential sectors.
