Abidjan-Paris Route: Air Côte d’Ivoire Receives Its First Airbus A330-900Neo This Wednesday

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Toulouse, France, the national airline Air Côte d’Ivoire will officially receive its very first Airbus A330-900Neo. This milestone comes ahead of the launch of its long-haul Abidjan-Paris-Abidjan route scheduled for September 18.

The aircraft handover ceremony will be attended by the First Lady, Dominique Ouattara, the Minister of Transport, Amadou Koné, along with several Ivorian and French dignitaries. Their presence underscores the strategic importance of this event for the future of Ivorian air transport.

A Technological and Strategic Leap

For the airline, the arrival of this first A330-900Neo, one of two expected, marks the accelerated modernization of the national fleet.

It is worth noting that with this state-of-the-art aircraft, Air Côte d’Ivoire joins the circle of African airlines capable of operating long-haul flights with optimal comfort and safety.

This acquisition is made possible thanks to the vision of President Alassane Ouattara, who has made air transport a key driver of development and openness for the country. Indeed, the aviation sector is not limited to passenger transport; it is also a powerful engine of growth, promoting trade, tourism, and Côte d’Ivoire’s integration into major international air routes.

A Stronger Bridge Between Abidjan and Paris

The new Abidjan-Paris connection, now operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire, reflects the desire to strengthen the historic ties of cooperation and friendship between the two countries. Beyond its diplomatic and symbolic significance, this regular service offers more choices and flexibility to Ivorian, African, and international travelers. It also represents an opportunity to better connect West Africa to the rest of the world from Abidjan, a rapidly growing air hub.

With this advancement, Air Côte d’Ivoire confirms its ambition to become a key player in African aviation.

It should be noted that receiving this new aircraft is not only a technical acquisition but also a declaration of confidence in the future — that of a modern, competitive airline firmly focused on international markets.
