Africa CEO Forum 2026: Côte d’Ivoire mobilizes African private sector around the 2026–2030 NDP

On the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum 2026 in Kigali, the “Invest in Côte d’Ivoire” forum, chaired by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, brought together more than 150 investors, business leaders, development partners, and representatives of major continental and international financial institutions.

During the event, the Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, presented Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026–2030 National Development Plan (NDP) and highlighted the investment opportunities available to both African and international private sector actors.

As the first major private sector gathering since the adoption of the plan by both chambers of Parliament, the forum marked the official launch of the financing mobilization phase for the NDP, which includes:
• 114,838.5 billion FCFA in projected investments
• 70.2% expected from the private sector
• A targeted growth rate of 7.2%
• More than 3 million formal jobs expected

As the leading economy in the WAEMU region, accounting for nearly 40% of regional GDP, Côte d’Ivoire recorded an average growth rate of 6.5% between 2021 and 2025. The country is also ranked among the top three best-rated Sub-Saharan African economies by major international agencies: Moody’s (Ba2), S&P (BB/B), and Fitch (BB), all with stable outlooks.

The 2026–2030 NDP also includes a broad reform agenda aimed at improving the business environment through investor process digitalization, modernization of sectoral frameworks, and the strengthening of specialized commercial courts.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Minister also participated in a BNETD session focused on resilient infrastructure.

Côte d’Ivoire will host its technical and financial partners in Abidjan on July 8–9, 2026, for the Consultative Group meeting dedicated to financing the 2026–2030 National Development Plan.
