The first long-haul flight of the national airline, Air Côte d’Ivoire, operated with its Airbus A330-900 Neo, landed on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport.

During the official inauguration ceremony of the Abidjan-Paris-Abidjan route, held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in Paris’ 9th arrondissement, Dioman Coné, Chief of Staff representing the Minister of Transport, Amadou Koné, praised the initiative. He described it as a historic milestone for Ivorian air transport and a strong symbol of Franco-Ivorian cooperation.

“This is not just a new destination; it is an air bridge between two peoples united by history, culture, and friendship,” he said, paying tribute to the President of the Republic for promoting an Ivory Coast open to the world.

According to the representative of Amadou Koné, this aircraft symbolizes modernity and is a source of national pride. He also expressed gratitude to the French government, especially Minister Philippe Tabarot, for their continuous support.

The Chairman of the Board of Air Côte d’Ivoire, General Abdoulaye Coulibaly, congratulated all parties for their commitment and professionalism.

The Country Director of Air Côte d’Ivoire in France, Hervé Abou, expressed pride and appreciation to both Ivorian and French authorities. “We are not only a premium African airline, but also a company oriented towards the world,” he noted, emphasizing that out of 55 countries on the continent, only six operate long-haul flights.

The new route will begin with six weekly flights, before moving to a daily service starting December 1, 2025.
