Côte d’IvoireYango Group Opens New Regional African Headquarters in Abidjan

July 25, 2025 Yango Group, a Dubai-based technology company operating in over 30 countries, has announced the opening of its new African regional headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. This hub will coordinate the group’s expanding operations across the continent, marking a significant new chapter in Yango’s long-term commitment to Africa. With nearly 200 employees already on the ground, the company plans to further strengthen its local workforce over the coming year.

First launched in Côte d’Ivoire in 2018, Africa served as Yango’s starting point. Since then, the company has expanded to 16 African countries, developing a diverse portfolio of digital services. Now, by making Abidjan its continental headquarters, Yango Group reaffirms its intention to deepen its regional presence and accelerate innovation tailored to local realities.

“This new regional office in Abidjan marks a new chapter in our journey across Africa,” said Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group.
“Our strategy is to build digital ecosystems that empower countries from within—leveraging global technologies but rooted in local realities. Africa is where it all began for us, and today we are investing in the future by making Abidjan home to our largest office on the continent and the center of our African strategy.”

Building Inclusive Digital Ecosystems Across Africa

Yango Group’s strategy is centered on creating inclusive, locally adapted digital ecosystems that go far beyond individual services. By combining its global technologies with a hyperlocal approach, the company aims to drive the digital transformation of the continent.

Across Africa, Yango already offers a broad range of services—from ride-hailing and food delivery to navigation, e-commerce, and digital payments—all integrated into a single Super App. These services help generate economic opportunities for drivers, couriers, small business owners, and users alike.

As Yango continues its expansion, it plans to replicate this model in additional countries by creating platforms that address local needs while reinforcing existing value chains. The company also intends to launch new tech solutions for local businesses, helping them grow and structure themselves through digital tools.

The Yango Fellowship Program Scales to a Pan-African Level

As part of its long-term strategy to support Africa’s digital transformation and beyond, Yango is significantly increasing its investment in local talent key drivers for sustainable technology adoption and innovation on the continent. The company is scaling up its Yango Fellowship Program to the pan-African level, aiming to equip hundreds of thousands of young talents with future-ready digital skills across its African markets.

Already active in Côte d’Ivoire, the program will establish Abidjan as the regional hub for training and coordination throughout the continent.

“Our mission goes far beyond simply providing tech services,” added Daniil Shuleyko.
“By investing in skills and talent—especially among young people—we are helping to build the foundation for sustainable innovation and self-sufficient digital ecosystems in Africa. With programs like Yango Fellowship, we aim to empower the next generation of African tech leaders.”
