Coffee-Cocoa Campaign 2025-2026: “All Production from Ivorian Plantations Will Be Purchased,” Says CCC Director General

Abidjan, January 14, 2026 – During a press conference held on January 14 in Abidjan, the Director General of the Coffee-Cocoa Council (CCC), Yves Brahima Koné, reassured producers about the government’s efforts to ensure proper marketing of cocoa.

Yves Brahima Koné emphasized that the well-being of producers is at the heart of government priorities, recalling that Ivorian authorities have made significant efforts in favor of farmers, particularly for the 2025-2026 coffee-cocoa campaign, which features a “historic price” warmly welcomed by producers.

The CCC Director General criticized disinformation campaigns by certain unions claiming that trucks loaded with cocoa are being held at ports without being unloaded, which he said is hindering the marketing process.

According to him, no cocoa shipment can leave the production area without a bill of lading duly validated by the operator and exporter. “These trucks blocked at the ports are operating illegally,” he said. “I invite you to visit the ports of Abidjan and San Pedro. Cocoa is being unloaded normally. Around 300 trucks were unloaded yesterday,” he added.

It is worth noting that Côte d’Ivoire is the world’s leading cocoa producer, with a production of approximately 1.3 million tonnes. For the main 2025-2026 marketing campaign, the purchase price of cocoa beans is set at 2,800 FCFA/kg.
