Oil Giants BP and PETROBRAS Heading to Côte d'Ivoire
Côte d'Ivoire continues to strengthen its appeal to investors in the energy sector. On the sidelines of CERAWeek 2025 in Houston, several major oil companies announced their intention to invest in Côte d'Ivoire’s offshore sector. The roadshow led by Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, Minister of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy, is already showing positive results.
Five oil companies, including two of the top 10 global majors, have expressed their intention to make significant investments in Côte d'Ivoire. This announcement follows strategic working sessions with the Ivorian delegation, marking a key moment for the country's energy sector.
In addition, the Minister met with the U.S. Secretary of Energy to discuss the challenges and opportunities within the sector, further strengthening the energy cooperation between the two countries.
This development highlights Côte d'Ivoire's growing attractiveness as an investment destination for major players in the oil and energy industry.
