Vice President Tiemoko Meyliet Koné Meets with Leaders of Huawei and GENERTEC International in Beijing

Following the conclusion of the 4th China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC2024), Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiemoko Meyliet Koné, held discussions on Saturday in Beijing with Chen Lei, Vice President of HUAWEI, and Kang Hubiao, President of GENERTEC International.

During these meetings, the leaders of these two prominent Chinese companies praised Côte d'Ivoire's impressive economic performance. They also discussed their ongoing projects in the country, particularly in the digital sector and the Ferkessédougou Dry Port. Further investment prospects were explored in telecommunications infrastructure, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.

Nota Bene: Ferkessédougou (commonly called Ferké) is a city in Côte d'Ivoire, the capital of the Tchologo region. Located 650 km from Abidjan and 360 km from Yamoussoukro, Ferkessédougou is situated near the borders of Mali and Burkina Faso.
