On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Sidi Tiémoko Touré, announced the signing of a major cooperation agreement with the North American Renderers Association (NARA) following his official mission to the United States from July 14 to 17, 2025.
This five-year partnership aims to profoundly transform Côte d’Ivoire’s animal and fisheries production sectors. Key components of the collaboration include modernizing national infrastructure, updating and strengthening the Ivorian regulatory framework, and facilitating direct exchanges between Ivorian and American stakeholders.
Furthermore, knowledge and expertise transfer will be a cornerstone of the agreement through study visits, sample exchanges, and targeted technical assistance.
The North American Renderers Association, renowned for its role in developing export markets, supporting research, and providing training, will lend its expertise to support the vision of His Excellency President Alassane Ouattara. This vision prioritizes the modernization of animal and fisheries sectors to enhance food security and drive sustainable economic development.
This strategic partnership marks an important milestone for Côte d’Ivoire in its pursuit of food autonomy and excellence in animal and fisheries sectors.
