On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, the launch workshop of the Biomass-Energy and Clean Cooking Valorization Project in Côte d'Ivoire, named "VABICUI", took place at the Villa Lepic in Cocody. This event marked the beginning of the first session of the steering committee.
The project, funded through a €4.9 million grant, allows the European Union and its Member States to support Côte d'Ivoire's energy transition ambition, which aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030.
Implemented by Enabel Côte d'Ivoire, the VABICUI project enjoys strong involvement from the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy, as well as the Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development, and Ecological Transition.
