Abidjan, August 21, 2024 – During her visit to Abidjan, Julieta Valls Noyes, the U.S. Deputy Secretary for Population, Refugees, and Migration, met with Wautabouna Ouattara, the Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs. The purpose of the meeting was to express gratitude for Côte d'Ivoire’s generous reception of asylum seekers and its ongoing efforts to integrate refugees into society.
