🇨🇮 Ramadan 2026: Dominique Ouattara Donates CFA 130 Million to the Muslim Community

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the headquarters of the Fondation Children Of Africa, First Lady Dominique Ouattara officially handed over food supplies and non-food items worth a total of CFA 130 million to the Muslim community in observance of the holy month of Ramadan 2026.

According to the First Lady, this gesture of solidarity aims to support religious leaders, mosques in the Abidjan District and across the country, as well as around sixty Muslim NGOs and associations, ensuring that this period of fasting, prayer, and sharing takes place in serenity and dignity for all.

She expressed her gratitude to the personalities who attended the ceremony: “I would like to thank Mrs. Myss Belmonde Dogo, Minister of Solidarity and the Fight against Poverty, as well as Mr. Effoli Benjamin, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Interior and Security, General Vagondo Diomandé, for their presence and support,” she stated.

In the same spirit, she extended her appreciation to all Muslim religious leaders whose prayers and blessings gave the ceremony a deeply spiritual dimension.

Dominique Ouattara also expressed the hope that the coincidence of Ramadan with the Christian Lent would provide moments of reflection and further strengthen “interfaith brotherhood and consolidate our national unity, in peace and social cohesion.”
