Côte d’Ivoire: Eid al-Fitr 2026 to Be Celebrated on Friday, March 20

The Muslim community in Côte d’Ivoire will celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Friday, March 20, 2026, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to a joint statement from the COSIM and the CODISS, the crescent moon was not sighted anywhere across the national territory. This confirms the completion of the fasting month of Ramadan.

As a result, Friday, March 20, 2026, will correspond to the first day of Shawwal 1447 AH, officially marking the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

On this occasion, COSIM, CODISS, and all Islamic organizations in the country extended their wishes of peace, solidarity, and blessings to the Muslim community and the entire Ivorian population
