Promoting Tourism: Miss France 2025 as a Gateway to Boost Côte d’Ivoire’s Global Appeal
According to Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism and Leisure, the Miss France 2025 event serves as a gateway to enhance Côte d’Ivoire's attractiveness and strengthen its international positioning.
Speaking at a press conference on November 18, 2024, during the visit of the 30 Miss France 2025 contestants to Côte d’Ivoire, Minister Fofana emphasized the impact of the event on the country's visibility. "For the 2024 edition, Miss France attracted 9 million viewers. Since the event airs on a satellite network, Côte d’Ivoire will be highlighted for 7 to 8 minutes, reaching several countries," he noted.
This collaboration with the Miss France organization aims to deepen ties between the two countries while promoting Côte d'Ivoire as a premier tourist destination. The media coverage generated by the contestants' visit is expected to boost the country's image globally.
By hosting the 30 contestants, Côte d’Ivoire showcases its rich landscapes, cultural diversity, natural wonders, and culinary delights, providing an opportunity to experience the legendary hospitality of the Ivorian people.
Frédéric Gilbert, President of the Miss France organization, shared that the contestants will embark on an immersive journey, visiting iconic sites such as the Baie des Sirènes, Domaine Bini, and Banco National Park. These experiences will allow them to explore a country renowned for its cultural richness and variety.
This visit aligns with Côte d’Ivoire’s “Sublime Côte d’Ivoire” tourism development strategy, which aims to position the country among Africa's top five most attractive destinations
