A total of 53,883 beneficiaries were impacted by the Program to Combat Fragility in the Northern Border Areas over the 2022 and 2023 periods, with a budget of 21.9 billion FCFA. The program's coordinator, Hermann Nicoué, shared this information on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Abidjan-Plateau, during the review of the 2022-2023 exercises under the "Youth Employment and Professional Integration" component. The event was attended by Ibrahima Dosso, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Youth Promotion.

"In the 2022 exercise, 23,892 beneficiaries received support through various integration and empowerment mechanisms, with a budget of 9.6 billion FCFA. He added that these two rounds achieved 82.12% of the overall target of 65,613 men and women in the program regions for the 2022-2024 period, with a total budget of 33 billion FCFA.

Hermann Nicoué announced that the third edition of the Program to Combat Fragility in Northern Border Areas will be launched on November 2, 2024, in Bouna, within the Bounkani region, in the presence of various government officials. This edition aims to support over 17,000 vulnerable men and women across six regions in the program: Bagoué, Bounkani, Folon, Kabadougou, Poro, and Tchologo.

It should be noted that the Program to Combat Fragility in Northern Border Areas (2022-2024) was launched on January 22, 2022, in Tougbo, in the Bounkani region, by Prime Minister Patrick Achi. Its goal is to strengthen social cohesion and economic resilience among northern populations facing risks of terrorist attacks due to their proximity to Mali and Burkina Faso.
