In October 2024, Nady Bamba Gbagbo, wife of President Laurent Gbagbo, made a significant visit to the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Imams, Mosques, and Islamic Affairs (COSIM) in Bingerville, accompanied by a large delegation. The visit aimed to greet the Muslim community through its leader, Cheick Aïma Ousmane Diakité, and to receive blessings.
Bamba Amara, spokesperson and uncle of Nady Bamba, expressed the delegation's gratitude, highlighting her return to the country and her desire to remain connected with the Muslim community. In his speech, Cheick Aïma Ousmane Diakité emphasized unity, peace, and the importance of fostering fraternal relationships in Côte d'Ivoire, offering his prayers and guidance.
