Eugène Aka Aouélé, President of the Economic, Social, Environmental, and Cultural Council (Cesec) and member of the RHDP presidium, officially inaugurated the RHDP regional coordination for Abobo on Monday, October 21, 2024. He was accompanied by Koffi N'Guessan, Minister of Technical Education, Vocational Training, and Apprenticeship.
During the event, Dr. Aka Aouélé paid tribute to Kandia Camara, the RHDP's Principal Regional Coordinator, saying, “You are fortunate to have Kandia Camara, just as you were fortunate to have had Hamed Bakayoko.” He encouraged party members to intensify their efforts for the victory of the RHDP candidate in October 2025. He also acknowledged the commendable work of the municipal council under the leadership of Mayor Kandia Camara in Abobo.
Kandia Camara urged her colleagues to actively engage with the community to secure more voters for the upcoming presidential and other elections. Her goal is to register 70,000 new voters on the electoral list in her municipality. “I want to see everyone out there on the ground, as this is the responsibility. Holding a position is not enough; you must have the honesty to do the work that is required of you,” she said.
Camara emphasized the need for action, stating that it is not enough to claim that the President has done enough to guarantee his re-election. “We need to get to work now. 2025 is today. Go everywhere—into markets and homes—to reach first-time voters and get them registered,” she urged. Abobo, known as the RHDP stronghold, must retain this status without fail.
“We must ensure our candidate, Alassane Ouattara, is re-elected in the first round,” she stressed. She also highlighted that the party with the most registered voters will win the 2025 presidential election, encouraging her team to focus on the RHDP's victory. “Abobo is currently under development thanks to the President. It is essential that we secure another term for him to ensure our town thrives even more,” she concluded.
