The April meeting of the Chamber’s Executive Committee was held in the presence of numerous participants, including H.E. Ms. Francesca Di Mauro 🇪🇺, Ambassador of the European Union, and H.E. Ms. Catherine Brooker 🇬🇧, Ambassador of the United Kingdom.
In their respective remarks, both ambassadors reaffirmed the commitment of their institutions to supporting the private sector. The EU Ambassador highlighted the upcoming visit of the President of the European Council, Mr. António Costa, to Abidjan on May 22. This visit will take place within the framework of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize award ceremony.
The UK Ambassador, for her part, emphasized her country’s efforts to promote a peaceful electoral process ahead of the 2025 elections. She also recalled the United Kingdom’s active involvement in the International Academy for the Fight Against Terrorism.
The meeting continued with a roundtable discussion during which each member shared key developments in their respective sectors.
