Accelerating the Digital Transition: Minister Kalil Konaté Joins Key Meetings in India and Japan

- An Ivorian delegation led by the Minister of Digital Transition and Digitalization, Kalil Konaté, departed on August 17, 2024, for India and Japan to attend significant meetings.

The primary goal for the Ivorian Minister is to participate in a conference organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). This conference will address various critical topics for a country like Côte d'Ivoire, which is committed to accelerating its digital transition to positively impact all sectors of the economy.

The discussions will cover several themes, providing the delegation with insights into the Indian public and private ICT sectors. The aim is not only to establish partnership links but also to present projects from Côte d'Ivoire’s Ministry of Digital Transition.

Additionally, the Ivorian delegation seeks to draw inspiration from the Indian Unified Payment Interface (UPI), which facilitates free financial transactions.

Kalil Konaté is also expected in Japan, where Côte d'Ivoire has been invited by the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamikawa Yoko, to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).
